Finally the site work begins. The pools are dug and concrete poured, but typically the heavens opened and the pools were filled. Not great for swimming yet though!
Two weeks later we got the slab down. Working until 10pm at night the boys struggled with mud, cold and lack of light. The neighbours must have had a kittens listening to that going half the night. But what can you do … you can’t stop the pouring of concrete once it has started.
Once down you can see the actual footprint of the duplex property, but even this doesn’t prepare you for the size and magnificence of what is to come.
